About The Position

Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants, is currently seeking a Small Parcel Shipping Coordinator for our Distribution Department. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely order fulfillment of small package shipments to meet internal and external customer demands.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum two (2) years experience in a warehouse or small package shipping environment.
  • Must be a certified forklift driver, have knowledge of Haz-mat Federal Regulations, small parcel air restrictions and international shipping regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes positive internal and external customer service by providing timely, safe, and accurate shipping and receiving services.
  • Packs and wraps materials for shipment.
  • Processes and repackages damaged items.
  • Checks that materials are available for specific small parcel related products.
  • Checks that authorization for shipping and receiving is complete and accurate.
  • Interprets DOT/Haz-Mat Federal Regulations and assures compliance.
  • Keeps abreast of Federal and State regulations/laws and changes to regulations.
  • Acts as a leader for the processing of customer orders to assure quick and accurate processing.
  • Orders components and supplies as needed to support customer requirements.
  • Maintains a safety stock of all shipping supplies and reorders as needed to prevent delays in process customer orders.
  • Maintains WFPS and WSAT inventory.
  • Represents Franklin and the Corporate Small Parcel Dept. by working well with others.
  • Gets along with internal and external customers and understands their needs.
  • Maintains good relations even when customers are antagonistic.
  • Supports Sales/Marketing and Customer Service with timely shipment updates and information.
  • Works closely with all personnel on trade shows, helps with the coordination of special projects.
  • Listens to requests from internal customers, analyzes their needs and present the best alternatives for shipment.
  • Gives information and reports in a timely manner to Manager.
  • Directly coordinates the day-to-day work center.
  • Maintains accurate records by utilizing computer systems in daily activities.
  • Records shipping documents.
  • Prints reports from the small parcel on-line system of internal or external customers.
  • Prints reports and packing slips in Franklin’s computerized inventory systems.
  • Releases orders, removes product, confirms orders and cancels orders in computerized inventory systems.
  • Operates shipping computer module and is able to add freight charges in computerized inventory systems.
  • Uses small parcel on-line computer system to prepare materials for shipment.
  • Tracks packages and gets proof of deliveries.
  • Observes all safety and environmental guidelines while batching, packaging, and/or handling products, waste, and raw materials
