As a Small Group Instruction Teacher at the School at Thompson, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized attention and support to students. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate learning in small group settings, tailoring instruction to meet the unique needs of each student. This involves: - Planning and delivering lessons that address the specific academic goals and learning styles of your students. - Monitoring student progress and providing timely feedback to ensure continuous improvement. - Creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate. - Collaborating with other teachers, parents, and school staff to develop comprehensive educational plans for students. - Implementing various instructional strategies and interventions to help students overcome academic challenges. A typical day as a Small Group Instruction Teacher will include active collaboration with colleagues, parents, and school staff to ensure that each student's educational plan is comprehensive and tailored to their needs. You will spend time monitoring and assessing student progress, using this information to provide timely feedback, adjust lesson plans, and implement necessary interventions. This collaborative approach ensures that all students receive the support they need to succeed academically. The schedule for this position will be Mon-Friday 7:45-4:00pm. School hours are 8:00-2:30pm with a daily planning period from 2:30-4:00pm.
