Small Equipment Sales Specialist
About The Position
GreenMark Equipment is the premier John Deere dealership in Southwestern Michigan and Northern Indiana with 17 locations to serve our customers. We are committed to providing value-added equipment solutions through our sales, service and support to farmers, commercial businesses, large property owners and homeowners. Purpose: This position would be responsible for helping commercial, municipal, and retail customers find their perfect solution when selecting a Compact Utility Tractor, Gator Utility Vehicle, Commercial Mower, or Lawn and Garden Equipment. The flexibility to assist at other locations on a weekly basis is necessary.
Requirements
- 3-5 Years B to B Sales Experience.
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of commercial and residential turf equipment preferred
Responsibilities
- Creates equipment solutions for customers in a defined sales area
- Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
- Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly
- Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
- Develops and maintains relationships with commercial and municipal customers within designated sales territory.
- Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment
- Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
- Conducts new equipment field demonstrations
- Monitors trends in customers business activities and timely communicates to management
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
- Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
- May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes
