Brown & Brown is seeking a Small Commercial Account Manager to join our growing team in Spring House, PA! The Small Commercial Account Manager retains clients through consistent servicing and by supporting the management of client relationships both internally and externally. This role assists members of the department in delivering exceptional customer service and contributes to achieving strong client satisfaction. How You Will Contribute: Manage the day‑to‑day account servicing of an assigned book of business, including processing policies and endorsements, invoicing, issuing certificates of insurance and auto ID cards, reporting and following up on claims, preparing premium breakdowns, handling policy changes, reviewing policy forms, providing coverage comparisons, conducting loss analysis, and responding to coverage questions. Build and maintain courteous, successful relationships with clients, vendors, and carriers to support client retention. Assist in the full renewal process for assigned and prospective clients, including ordering updated loss information, obtaining updated account data, handling renewal applications, supporting renewal marketing and account rounding, reviewing and negotiating renewal pricing, and preparing renewal proposals and binders. Assist in the review of internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, policies, endorsements, and certificates to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements. Support marketing and sales teams and document renewal, sales, and insurance operations compliance information in the sales management database. Attend internal and client meetings as needed and follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures. Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing, a positive attitude, and a commitment to achieving or exceeding internal and external performance standards. Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, technology, and professional licensing requirements.

Requirements

  • Insurance Producer license in good standing (authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business) or ability to obtain such within 90 days of hire.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the insurance industry, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher.
  • Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
  • Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree in a business-related field (preferred)
  • Professional Designation specific to area of specialty (ie, ARM, CIC, RPLU) (preferred)
