About The Position

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company with 185,000 employees, is seeking a Program Manager for the Small CCA program within its Pratt & Whitney division. Pratt & Whitney is a global leader in aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems. This role is part of GATORWORKS, a technology, product, and capability incubator within Military Development Programs (MDP), focused on rapid prototyping, demonstration, and engine to airframe integration for new and non-traditional customer bases. The Advanced Military Engines Program Office, where this position resides, aims to develop, test, and field technologies for the warfighter faster and more efficiently. The Program Manager (Associate Director) will report to the Advanced Military Engines Director and is responsible for fostering strong customer and internal stakeholder relationships, ensuring program process compliance, delivering business results, and leading project completion. The ideal candidate will provide calm guidance in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment, with expected travel to WSC and customer locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Science, Engineering, or Technical Degree preferred and 12 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience
  • 12 plus years’ experience leading integration, program, or engineering project teams required
  • 7 plus years in Aerospace and Defense required
  • US Citizenship required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Integrated Product Management Team for the assigned program portfolio
  • Provide inspired leadership to a cross-functional team to accomplish major product development objectives, on schedule, within cost, with disciplined risk management
  • Partner with other functional leaders for inclusive problem-solving and decision-making
  • Identify and remove obstacles for the team
  • Communicate expertly to all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain advocacy for program and team needs
  • Deliver world-class and winning solutions for key customer needs and company competitive objectives
