About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for an SLS Manufacturing Manager (Level K) at our site in New Orleans, LA. Position Responsibilities: Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines. Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years’ experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
• This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
• This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
• To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 1+ year experience with SLS maintenance, manufacturing, and process systems
• Previous knowledge / experience with LEAN
• Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees.
