About The Position

A Slot/Floor Attendant is a key customer service provider on the casino floor. They service and build relationships with our players, pay hand-pay jackpots and perform minor repairs on slot machines at the Ohkay Casino.

Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent.
Must have knowledge of basic mathematics and good oral communications skills.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Must be computer literate.
At least 21 years of age or older.
Gaming industry experience is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and taking effective action.
Communicate and present ideas effectively orally.
While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Occasionally sit.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds with occasional lifting of more than 35 pounds, assisted.
Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately.
Walking and standing 85% - 90 % of shift.

Responsibilities

Respond to Slot Machine Service lights and customer calls, to provide and/or execute the following functions:
Provide Game play instruction/explanations.
Verify and pay out customer any jackpots and required hand pays.
Maintain individual cash bank daily from cage.
Record all credits and figure correct amount toward customer.
Provide change to customers in a courteous friendly manner.
Responsible for basic maintenance of machines such as: paper jams and bill jams
Understands and promotes the player tracking program and other casino promotions.
Resolve or direct customer complaints to supervisor on duty.
Familiar with procedures relating to robbery, bomb threats and other life treating situations.
Responsible for cancelled credits, short pays, money exchanges, and reconciliation of currency.
Utilize basic math skills to figure credit amounts when jackpots are won.
Ability to operate a 10-key calculator
Maintain good personal hygiene and a professional appearance at all times
Any and all duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
