About The Position

SLOT TECHNICIAN – Duties and Responsibilities: · Assures security of slot machines in accordance with company policy and Gaming Regulations and possesses through knowledge of Gaming Regulations pertaining to slot machines. · Assure exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. · Inspects slot machines for malfunctions and tampering. · Provides technical advice to Slot Shift Manager regarding jackpot payouts and disputes. · Must assist patrons in answering questions and direct them to areas of safety during emergencies as instructed by management, security or senior crew members. · Performs other duties as directed.

Understands department procedures, Internal Controls, and instructs peers on the correct procedures.
Have an in-depth knowledge of the Slot Equipment to include:
Knows all aspects of Slot Performance related to Internal Controls and regulations.
Identification of Slot Equipment on the casino floor by manufacturer and model.
Identification of all components in the slot machine and where to find a replacement for worn equipment.
Know the difference between the types of programs and how to read slot glass.
Be able to identify and repair Table Games equipment maintained by Slot Performance, including Caribbean Stud, Let It Ride, shufflers, and Roulette reader boards.
Know how to operate power tools and other shop equipment safely and correctly.
Know how SDS works and be able to identify and repair all its parts components, as well as know how to run all of the reports applicable to Slot Performance.
Be able to troubleshoot and repair common problems and the new or uncommon problems that occur within the slot machines and bill validators on the casino floor.
Know how to generate and use daily SDS reports including Spec files and other advanced reports (i.e., M-lists, C-lists, etc.).
Know how to troubleshoot, set up, and option all Progressive controllers and systems (i.e., Mikohn, CDS) on the casino floor.
Know how to troubleshoot an SDS line problem using SDS line maps.
Have the capacity to learn and understand AutoCAD and a working knowledge of EDW, EMAIL, WORD, and EXCEL.
Know how to operate a Kobetron unit, including EPROMS and CDs.
Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted and 250lbs assisted.
Must be able to attain and maintain and Occupation Gaming License as required by the Illinois gaming Board.

Nice To Haves

Associate Degree in Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
Minimum of one year experience in casino slot repair is preferred.
Must possess basic computer skills and thorough knowledge of gaming laws, regulations, and internal controls.
