About The Position

FUNCTION: Manages all aspects of Slot Floor Operations to include supervision of all Slot employees. Oversees all operations regarding Slot Ambassadors, Slot Technicians, jackpot verifications, payoffs, etc. Assures that the Slot department follows all company policies and procedures and complies with state and federal gaming regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Slot supervisory role preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a hotel/gaming property is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of slot equipment.
  • Effective communication skills is a must with guests and team members.
  • Ability to coach, develop, counsel and discipline subordinates.
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Employee Gaming registration required.
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification is required.
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
  • Fine finger manipulation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the department operations during the assigned shift to insure exceptional guest service.
  • Assist Slot Ambassador’s with jackpots, replenish TITO in slot machines, assist with machine and assist with machine malfunctions.
  • Greet and track both new and established Slot players. Enlist new players to the Nugget’s players club.
  • Assist the beverage department in providing complimentary drinks to all players, alerting the server to VIP players in the slot area.
  • Witness all major jackpot wins, sign jackpot slips, and complete hand pays.
  • Comminate with guests answering question and resolving disputes.
  • Implement all casino procedures relating to slot operations and monitor areas for cleanliness.
  • Perform special assignments as assigned by the Director of Gaming Operations and VP of Gaming Operations.
  • Develop shift schedules and schedule employees according to business needs, ensuring that the shift is properly staffed at all times.
  • Recommend wage and salary adjustments for personnel within established limits.
  • Approve regular vacations, and leaves of absence.
  • Ensure the department complies with all company policies, state and federal laws.
  • Knowledge of Title 31, completes Title 31 tracking and logging.
  • Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  • Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Regular predictable attendance is required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
