Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.A.) from technical school; or one to two years of Slot Tech experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Electronics experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and have knowledge of Slot operating systems.
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and managing staff in the Slots department.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing operational goals and monitoring achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Creating effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Assisting in the budget process for the department and providing recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Enthusiastically supporting, actively promoting, and demonstrating superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs.
  • Ensuring customer service standards are followed by all team members and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Being responsible for the overall achievement of departmental customer service goals.
  • Assisting in oversight of electronic gaming device activities for adherence to established procedures on assigned shift.
  • Making suggestions regarding types of materials, supplies, or tools to be used within established guidelines on assigned shift.
  • Sharing responsibility for layouts to installations of slot machines.
  • Scheduling preventative maintenance of slot machines.
  • Assisting with scheduling of troubleshooting and repair of machine malfunctions and player tracking system problems.
  • Writing correspondence needed to move, convert, or install slot-related equipment.
  • Assisting in the repair, maintenance, and performance of all slots and related gaming equipment.
  • Ensuring all policies, procedures, and practices are consistently followed and complies with the company’s service standards, brand attributes, policies, collective bargaining agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Carrying out the development, execution, and measurement of departmental service standards for the Slot Technical team.
  • Maintaining an open door policy and addressing all team member issues and/or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Performing duties in a safe manner; reporting any potential safety hazards.
  • Performing any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description, where, in the Company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.
  • Being responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Being responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluating team members within department and delivering constructive feedback to employees regarding performance.
  • Providing recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Managing work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Providing recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
  • Being responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to Executive Management/GM.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
