About The Position

The Casino Slot Attendant is responsible for overseeing the assigned slot machine area, ensuring a positive, welcoming, and friendly environment for all guests. This role involves closely observing slot activity, providing helpful assistance and clear instruction on machine functions, payouts, and promotions to enhance the player experience. The Slot Attendant also manages machine fills, processes jackpots accurately, and performs minor machine maintenance to keep the gaming floor running smoothly. Delivering exceptional guest service and fostering enjoyable interactions are key priorities to ensure every guest feels valued and engaged.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is mandatory.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Casino License issued by the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission.
• Knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and operational procedures.
• Casino experience of at least six months is preferable, especially in the Slot department.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to stand during long periods.
• Ability to maintain alertness and focus in a busy, often noisy environment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and sometimes long hours.
• Moderate work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Has the ability to act with integrity, transparency, and fairness, ensuring full compliance with gaming rules and regulations.
• Can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming and joyful environment for guests.
• Can stay calm, patient, and composed during stressful or challenging situations.
• Has the ability to work well in a team, cooperating with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
• Has the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new slot machine technology and software updates.
• Can perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to slot machines with attention to detail.
• Has strong observation skills to detect unusual or suspicious behavior on the gaming floor.
• Can effectively manage time and multitask to assist multiple guests efficiently.
