About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of the slot floor area on all assigned shifts as assigned by management, while focusing on policy, procedures, and excellent guest service by assisting patrons with any and all service needs, in a prompt, polite and friendly manner.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
Previous slot floor experience preferred.
Experience working with gaming machines/devices preferred.
Ability to understand and interpret game menus and provide clean, concise explanations to guests.
Ability to handle and cope with stress well and remain calm under pressure.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Has a working knowledge of machine instructions and codes.
Understands and complies with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
Ability to perform assigned duties in highly interruptive conditions.
Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.
Must be proficient in math.
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Exhibit manual dexterity to enter data into a computer.
Able to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
Hear and understand speech at normal levels, outdoors and on the telephone.
Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly.
Physical agility to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs/ladders, work in small spaces, walk, reach and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
Requires occasional heavy physical work; pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 75 pounds.
Work involves almost constant exposure to elements, such as dirt dust, fumes, smoke, flashing lights and loud noises.

Responsibilities

Greets guests, answers questions and acts as an informational resource regarding guest inquiries.
Keeps up to date on Slot Marketing activities and events at the property.
Monitors assigned area and attends to guests needs including Jackpot payments.
Verifies jackpots and completes slot pay out forms. Assists with refund claims.
Troubleshoots repairs and performs limited maintenance on gaming machines as directed by management.
Repairs machines in a timely and efficient manner to ensure minimal downtime.
Issue repair Work Orders for machine malfunctions.
Reports any machine left “out of order” to supervisor and completes a detailed report.
Maintains a log of any machine opened, tested and/or repaired and the specifics of the repair made.
Ensures all gaming machine equipment is secure and all defective components are properly tagged and identified.
Participates in all machine moves.
Answers all customer calls for assistance promptly.
Maintains surveillance of assigned areas and observes slot play.
Keeps assigned slot floor area neat and clean at all times.
Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with repeat guests to the property.
Maintains a positive and friendly attitude toward guests as well as other employees.
Abides by all Casino policies and procedures and internal controls.
Communicates daily activity to oncoming shifts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
