About The Position

The slitter operator position is responsible for the setting up, slitting, packing and wrapping of finished products, in accordance with client packing specifications. The operator is also responsible for the movement of materials within the department and for storing or staging materials in designated areas.

Requirements

1 year in Manufacturing and Production.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task
Excellent interpersonal and communicating skills.
Mechanically Inclined.
Strong leadership skills
Lift up to and including 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Make sure all work order information is accurate before production.
Setting knife shaft for design changes.
Testing of dimensional characteristics as defined.
Prep and pack all finished goods associated with job.
Customer sampling program must be followed as needed.
Measurement and confirmation of measurements for dimensional characteristics.
Entries into shop floor data system to keep track of time and materials.
Stage and stock packing materials.
Follow all safety rules
Use of PPE and only Amcor provided tools.
Participates in scheduled cleaning on machine and in department.
Actively involved in Amcor project teams or other improvement events.
Attend meetings to further better the Wets department.
Responsible for directing assistant’s job duties within the shift.
Support Team Lead with information to be used for Slitting
Communicates with other departments to improve bottlenecks and streaming processes.
Makes safety the number one priority.
