Job Overview This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Classic Packaging procedures and policies. Assists the Slitter Machine operator in the operation of the Slitter.

Requirements

  • The ability to read and comprehend production orders.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • The ability to learn new skills and apply them across a range of applications.
  • Must show good judgment and have good communication skills.
  • The ability to stand for an entire work shift (excluding breaks).
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain acceptable production levels and quality of product while operating machine in the safest manner possible.
  • Must check all the machines’ safety functions at the beginning of their shift to ensure the machine is safe to operate.
  • Quality must be checked at each restart of the machine.
  • All paperwork and computer entries must be complete and accurate.
  • You Help maintain production levels and quality.
  • Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Verify correct materials are being used for each job.
  • Check quality of rolls as they finish on the slitter and palletize.
  • Keep Slitter area clean and orderly.
  • Comply with all safety requirements.
  • Safely operate a variety of material moving equipment like pallet jacks, hoists to transport and lift materials finished products.
  • Perform any other job duties as assigned by shift supervisor.
