Children’s Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States, providing care exclusively to children from before birth through young adulthood. It is an independent, not-for-profit system since 1924, serving kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, nine primary care clinics, multiple specialty clinics, and seven rehabilitation sites. Children’s Minnesota is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a top children’s hospital and by Modern Healthcare as one of 2023’s Top Diversity Leaders. The specialized department provides attended diagnostic testing services related to respiration control, sleep staging, and esophageal pH recordings. The St. Paul location hosts the only diagnostic sleep lab in the upper mid-west dedicated solely to pediatric patients, ranging from pre-term infants to young adults with special needs. This sleep lab is nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, being one of fewer than 10 fully accredited pediatric sleep laboratories in the United States. This position involves a wide variety of important responsibilities concerning infant, pediatric, and young adult diagnostic testing, directly impacting patient care by focusing on obtaining diagnoses and/or therapy options for referring physicians. The role requires close interaction with Sleep Disorder Providers, Sleep Psychology, nursing staff, patients, families, and other internal and external stakeholders.
