Riverside Medical Group is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Sleep Medicine Physician to join a well‑established, patient‑focused practice in Newport News, Virginia. This position offers a balanced outpatient schedule, strong interdisciplinary support, and the opportunity to practice high‑quality, evidence‑based sleep medicine while enjoying life along Virginia’s coast. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine
  • Eligible for or currently holding a Virginia medical license
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient‑centered communication skills
  • Commitment to evidence‑based medicine and team collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation, diagnosis, and management of sleep disorders such as: Obstructive and central sleep apnea Insomnia Hypersomnia and narcolepsy Circadian rhythm disorders Parasomnias and restless leg syndrome
  • Interpretation of in‑lab and home sleep studies (PSG, HSAT)
  • Management of PAP therapy and alternative treatment modalities
  • Development and oversight of individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans
  • Patient and family education regarding sleep health and treatment options
  • Collaboration with pulmonology and other specialty colleagues as needed
  • Accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Participation in quality improvement and clinical best‑practice initiatives
