About The Position

As a Saw Operator / Dismantler, you will play a critical role in our recycling operations by breaking down pallets and sorting components with incredible consistency and detail. Operating high-powered bandsaws on a fast-paced assembly line, you will evaluate which pieces are reusable and which are damaged to ensure all products meet our strict quality standards. Nice To Haves

Previous experience in pallet repair, woodworking, or construction preferred.
Knowledge of saw operation, including maintenance and safe use of industrial saws, preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Dismantling pallets using multiple types of equipment, specifically industrial bandsaws.
Partnering with team members to operate production equipment with precision to provide consistent quality.
Performing daily inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Controlling and adjusting equipment settings as needed for various pallet types.
Evaluating pallet components to determine usability and ensuring they meet PLA quality grades.
Stacking and storing reusable components in designated areas while properly disposing of waste.
Maintaining an established production rate to ensure efficiency and safety goals are met.
Maintaining a clean and orderly work area throughout the shift to reduce accidents.
Escalating technical and process issues to leadership immediately.
Complying with all PLA policies and procedures, as well as federal and state safety rules.
Consistent and reliable attendance at work is an essential function of this job.
