About The Position

The Skilled Trades Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring talent for skill trades positions within Rex Moore, including roles such as Electricians, Journeyman, Foreman, Project Engineers and Project Manager. This role requires a results-driven professional with expertise in sourcing and evaluating candidates for leadership and specialized technical roles. The Skilled Trades recruiter collaborates closely with hiring managers and the Human Resources Manager to ensure alignment with organizational goals and workforce needs. These skilled trades recruiter is responsible for creating /maintaining internal systems, document management, and back-end administrative duties, and onboarding new hires. This role also coordinates day-to-day branch office operations such as building maintenance, managing office inventories, organizing celebrations, and ensuring smooth handling of deliveries. This is an in-office position located in Reno, NV.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience recruiting for skilled trades or similar positions in a construction, manufacturing or trades service company or for a staffing agency servicing these industries.

  • Have desire to constantly interact/communicate with various personalities maintaining solid working relationships with both skilled trade workers and hiring managers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be dependable, responsible, have a good attitude and be willing to work hard
  • It is essential to be capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including on-line job board use required.
  • Social media expertise using LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc. required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical construction industry knowledge is a plus
  • Prior experience with an applicant tracking system is a major plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Human Resources or similar field of study preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement internal systems and processes that promote the stability and growth of the recruiting department.
  • Review, update, and maintain internal recruiting policies and other documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and distribute recruiting policies and documentation to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Create and update work instructions and SOPs for recruiting activities.
  • Lead orientation for new recruiting team members and provide additional training as needed.
  • Generate and analyze recruiting metrics; identify trends and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting team to refine recruitment strategies.
  • Partner with the Senior Recruiter on advertising strategies and campaign execution.
  • Assist with job advertising efforts such as Indeed and LinkedIn campaigns along with associated budgets
  • Design graphics and write content for LinkedIn job related posts
  • Collaborate with trade schools, community college trades programs, high school shop and ROP programs and military reintroduction programs to attract candidates
  • Manage reporting on key recruiting performance indicators (e.g., WIGs )
  • Respond to candidate inquiries submitted through the “Contact Us” form/recruiting team email address and direct them to appropriate team members.
  • Provide hands-on recruiting support, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating with hiring managers, scheduling start dates, and issuing offer letters
  • Assist with onboarding for the Reno branch office by preparing PPE and IT equipment and supporting new hires during in-office onboarding tasks such as Paycom modules, OSHA training, driver safety training, etc.
  • Manage inventory for office supplies, PPE, and kitchen/coffee area needs.
  • Coordinate building maintenance needs and general facility upkeep.
  • Serve as liaison with third-party vendors, including janitorial and landscaping services.
  • Organize employee birthday acknowledgments and other office celebrations.
  • Receive and coordinate distribution of materials and packages.
