About The Position

Lincoln Tech is seeking a highly motivated and results driven Skilled Trades Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Team, based in Parsippany, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a particular focus on sourcing hands-on, skilled trades professionals (HVAC, Electrical, Welding, etc.) who are ready to transition into instructor roles and share their expertise with students looking to become the next generation of tradespeople. This is a HYBRID role requiring two (2) days a week in the office (14 Sylvan Way, Suite A, Parsippany, NJ 07054). Lincoln Tech is a leading for-profit, post-secondary vocational system of schools, offering hands-on, career focused training in high demand fields like automotive, skilled trades (HVAC, Welding, Electrical), health sciences and information technology. We operate 22 campus locations in 12 states; we provide accelerated programs designed to prepare students for technical jobs with industry partnerships. Are you currently an experienced recruiter or staffing professional with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment? This is not an entry level role; we are seeking someone with experience on how to multi-task and prioritize their day while working with direct and passive candidates. You will have an understanding of the Instructor role so that you can explain to current industry professionals the benefits of transitioning to a four (4) day work week, with no nights, holidays or weekend. You will not be placing them into a job; you are placing them into a Career! You will have the opportunity to work with Campus Leaders to post, source, interview and hire industry professionals. Requirements

  • High school diploma, or GED required, additional HR or recruiting certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years in recruiting or staffing for skilled trades or educational positions, with a strong background in sourcing and placing instructors in fields such as HVAC, Electrical, Welding, and other trades.
  • Proficiency in recruiting tools such as ADP Recruiting is a plus. Ability to effectively use LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms to source and engage candidates is essential for success in the role. Maintain a strong presence on LinkedIn and other recruitment platforms to connect with top talent.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and recruitment regulations are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage job boards, social media, networking events and other sourcing strategies to identify and evaluate qualified faculty credentials for skilled trades roles (HVAC Technicians, Electricians, Welders, etc.) with the flexibility to source other positions as needed.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand recruiting needs and develop strategies. You will act as the main point of contact between candidates and hiring managers, conducting interviews and gathering feedback.
  • Post and update accurate, compelling job listings across multiple job boards and relevant platforms, ensuring they align with the position and Lincoln Tech culture.
  • Assess candidates, manage the offer letter process with hiring managers (adjusting pay, start dates, etc.) and guide candidates through the hiring process.
  • Willingness and understanding of the importance of Relationship Building and Cold Calling. Proactively engage with potential candidates, expanding the talent pool and creating lasting relationships to promote strong employer brand.
