About The Position
We are looking for an experienced and motivated RN to join our growing team in Williamsville, NY. About us: Canterbury Woods is a continuing care retirement community unlike any you’ve ever seen. Our CARF-accredited skilled nursing facility proudly features 50 private rooms and a focus on person-centered care. RN position details: We are hiring for a Full Time (5 days/week) 3pm - 11pm position. This position is eligible for a recruitment and retention bonus of up to $15,000.
Requirements
- Must have credentials as an RN with a current New York State license.
- Must be CPR and first aid certified.
- Must have verbal and written English skills.
Responsibilities
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as necessary.
- Greet newly admitted residents upon admission and escort them to their rooms.
- Make rounds with physicians as necessary.
- Consult with the resident, their family, and the resident’s physician when planning the resident’s care, treatment, and rehab.
- Visit residents on a daily basis in order to observe and evaluate each resident’s physical and emotional status.
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
- Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.
- Review MAR for completeness of information, accuracy in the transcription of physician orders, and adherence to stop order policies.
- Participate in the development of a written plan of care (preliminary and comprehensive) for each resident that identifies the problems/needs of the resident, indicates care to be given and goals to be accomplished, and states which professional service is responsible for each element of care.
- Ensure that all personnel involved in providing care to the resident are aware of the resident’s care plan.
