Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, major repairs, and preventive maintenance service.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Performs major equipment repairs and installation, construction as required.
Performs sanitation duties as needed.
Operates forklift and heavy machinery.
Completes all related paperwork.
Recommend and implement process improvements as approved.
Consults with Supervisor as required.
