About The Position

If you have 2+ years of experience as a Skilled Machine Operator and can work
our 12-hour 3-2-2-3 schedule, consider Carlex.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 2+ years' operator experience.
• Ability to learn and follow procedures while working safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Work a 12-hour shift on a rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule and work overtime as needed.
• Able to lift 45-50 lbs regularly and/or occasionally able to walk 5-10 feet while carrying a 45-50 lb. windshield.
• Able to raise objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
• Repetitive movements of wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Repetitive twisting and bending of upper & lower body.
• Work in extreme heat and humidity.
• Regular and predictable attendance required.
• Cooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities.
• Overtime may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand on concrete for extended periods of time.
• Some type of computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow work instructions and control plans.
• Communicate with other operators to assure a steady product flow.
• Operate multiple machines along with other key tasks such as changeovers
• Perform regular checks such as part quality, gaging, sag mapping, xenon light distortion check, etc.
• Perform production reporting through GMAPS.
• Maintain an organized clean work environment. 5S
• Perform other departmental job duties when directed by supervision
• Perform required PPE, location and purpose of all lock outs and E-stops
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment keeping the process running
• Handle all types of glass safely
