About The Position

Maintain cemetery grounds, grass cutting, trimming, removal of trees and shrubs, leaf maintenance, spring clean up, digging foundations, snow removal, assisting with burials and entombment. Must operate small tractor, small truck and lawn mower.

Requirements

Must exhibit a high degree of integrity, loyalty, time management skill, dependability and have a strong work ethic.
Must have knowledge of grounds, building tools, equipment operations and the ability to perform repairs to minor equipment.
The ability to work independently, multi-task and demonstrate competence in all areas of responsibility.
Must be able to work with all staff members, co-workers and contractors in a professional manner.
Must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License. Revocation of PA Driver's license may result in termination of employment.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma. (preferred)
Opportunity to advance includes backhoe training.

Responsibilities

Operation of trucks and payloader (front-end loader).
Operation of the push mowers and large mowers (Yazoo/Locke).
Trimming and/or removal of cemetery owned trees and shrubs when authorized.
Cutting of grass around all areas of the cemetery as required.
Removal of snow at cemeteries, Tribunal and current and retired Bishops' residences, when necessary.
Erect tents for burial and prepare the grave for interment. At times manual digging.
Dig foundations 3 to 4 feet deep.
Cleaning and store all tools and equipment as directed.
Performs any work directed by the Superintendent, Foreman or Field Supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
