Ace Handyman Services Montclair is seeking a high-level skilled handyman who takes pride in quality workmanship, professionalism, and customer service. We are a structured, organized operation built on exact appointment times, respect, and five-star standards. This position offers a clear path to grow into a Lead Craftsman / Field Supervisor as our company expands. If you’re sharp, dependable, and serious about your trade, keep reading. You will perform a wide range of residential repairs and improvements, including: Finish carpentry and trim work Door installation and adjustments Drywall repairs Interior painting Tile repair and installation Light plumbing repairs Light electrical work General home maintenance and repair You will work directly with homeowners and represent our brand. Professionalism and attention to detail matter. The 800+ Craftsmen who represent our Brand are the heart and soul of our turn-key, white-glove home repair, maintenance, and improvement service. They are skilled and experienced in many trades, but their professionalism and attention to detail is what sets them apart from others who work in the industry. Most of the projects completed are for Repeat and Referral Customers—folks truly appreciate our high level of service, and they often request additional work by asking for particular Craftsmen by name. Requirements
- 5+ years of residential repair or carpentry experience
- Strong finish carpentry skills
- Ability to perform light plumbing and electrical
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Highly organized and punctual
- Self-driven — no babysitting required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Own professional-grade tools
- Must have your own reliable vehicle in clean, presentable condition (you represent our franchise at customer homes)
- Ability to pass background check
- Communication is critical: You must be articulate and professional when speaking with customers
- Strong communication skills are required for future leadership opportunities
