About The Position

Peter Johnson Builders is looking for experienced Skilled Carpenters to join our team in high-end residential construction in the Charlottesville area . Qualified candidates must be willing and able to commute to the Charlottesville area for work. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience, preferably in residential construction or custom homes . We offer competitive pay , based on experience, in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of carpentry experience with a focus on new home construction .
• Ability to read and understand architectural plans and blueprints.
• Solid understanding of residential construction , building codes, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with various trades, including electrical, plumbing, masonry, finish carpentry, and painting.

Nice To Haves

• High-end remodel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
• Assist in various tasks across multiple trades to support the production schedule and project budget.
• Use hand and power tools to complete tasks accurately, including rough framing of walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
• Perform finishing carpentry tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Additional duties may be assigned based on project needs.
