This SkillBridge opportunity is with Collins Aerospace Joining Collins Aerospace isn’t just about finding a job; it’s about embarking on a journey to redefine the future of aerospace. The person in this position will assist the compliance team by supporting the site’s Quality Management System and compliance programs, to include: The FOD program; lead FOD awareness and prevention activities such as FOD walks, FOD collection and analysis. The ESD program; lead activities that result in effective product preservation including ESD protective smocks, shoes, testing of smocks, coordinating with 3rd party vendor to ensure ESD smocks are maintained and available for the site employees, overseeing the proper operation of the ESD testers and the database that records employee’s daily testing results. Assist team with the stamp program, overseeing the stamp testing, and issuance and control of quality status stamps for employees. Assist team with preparation efforts for internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with Quality Management Systems in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting internal audits; internal auditor training or certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience assisting with RCCA processes to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FAA, DoD, or equivalent aerospace standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer quality requirements.
  • Review, update, and control QMS procedures and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Track audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare compliance reports, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Maintain controlled documents and quality records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with teams across the company to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the business.
