Requirements

  • Team Leader / Supervisor skills are a must.
  • Strong Administrative/Computer experience & Customer Service Skills.
  • Comfortable with new technology.
  • Skilled with report preparation for a variety of security and client needs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-Motivated with strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule to support 24 hours of operation.
  • Possess effective computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and other administrative software.
  • Must hold or obtain a valid Armed Tennessee Security Officer License issued by the state.
  • Must be 21+ years old.
  • Must pass Armed training and hold a valid pistol permit.
  • 1+ years verifiable security, military or law enforcement experience, required.
  • Must have a clean criminal background. Background checks are conducted on all employees prior to employment with SEI. Annual checks are also conducted.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Have a reliable form of communication such as home phone or cell phone.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have a high-school diploma.
  • Communicate effectively with others.
  • Must be able to read and understand written instructions, complete standard forms and logs, compose reports that convey complete information in a legible manner.
  • Must have computer experience and ability to use a tablet to conduct security reports.
  • Look professional at all times in a clean and pressed uniform.
  • Check and secure doors, gates, windows, etc.
  • Monitors buildings for unauthorized person, suspicious activity, water leaks, fires, safety hazards, etc.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Foot patrols to ensure that the property, equipment, personnel, etc. are secure.
  • Records detailed Daily Activity Reports, Incident & Maintenance Reports, Parking Violations, Visitor-Truck Log In’s, etc.
  • Must remain alert for the presence of violations and contact the appropriate authority.
  • Provide escorts when requested.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Informs and ensures compliance of SEI and Clients policies, such as smoking, loitering, parking violations, etc.
  • Walking, standing, bending, light lifting, observing, detailed reporting, multitasking, greeting clients and visitors
  • Indoor and outdoor, temperatures from cold to heat.

Nice To Haves

  • Tennessee Armed Security License, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Security Operations Conduct regular walking patrols to enhance safety and identify/report concerns.
  • Monitor facility access points; verify IDs and credentials.
  • Enforce security procedures per Security Post Instructions.
