About The Position

Performance Contracting is seeking a Site Safety Representative for our PCI Knoxville 144 operations based on construction sites in Knoxville, TN. This individual will be responsible for the following duties: Ensure that PCI and customer safety practices are adhered to by all levels of employees and jobsite supervision. Maintain safety records and site documentation. Oversee, communicate, and administer the Branch or Jobsite Safety Incentive ProgramAttend at least one daily Tool Box Meeting per day and one documented safety inspection per week. Ensure that all foremen conduct at least one document safety inspection per month.Facilitate the formation and operation of an employee safety committee on jobsites with more than 25 employees.Assist with new hire and jobsite orientation.Ensure the proper inventory of safety consumables is maintained on jobsite(s).Communicate safety needs within the chain of command or ensure best safety practices.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30
  • Knowledge of construction good safety practices.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.
  • Must have provided safety oversight or similar experience.
  • Capable of spending 80% of daily time in the field with craft.
  • Able to work 40hr+ work weeks.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and labor experience in the field.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in team environment.
  • Work well under pressure and deadline.
  • Ability to learn new safety skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
  • Ability to plan, execute and organize safety paperwork
  • Able to work with customers and employees, building strong relationships
  • Follow all site rules & guidelines.
