The Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) oversees all safety and occupational health efforts on federal construction sites, ensuring full compliance with project safety standards and regulations. This role includes conducting site inspections, leading safety meetings, enforcing Accident Prevention Plans, and reviewing and developing Activity Hazard Analyses for various construction activities. The SSHO supports pre-construction planning, participates in three-phase inspections, manages subcontractor safety performance, and maintains accurate safety records, including daily reports and OSHA documentation. They also track and resolve safety deficiencies, conduct incident investigations, and ensure all safety data, including hazardous materials information, is up to date and accessible on site.
