Brief DescriptionThe Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role leads safety programs, training, inspections, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace in accordance with OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Technical degree or equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3–7 years of experience in HSE or safety coordinator in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with OSHA regulations, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 systems.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, and local/state safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret and apply safety, environmental, and legal requirements in operational environments.
- Competence in risk assessment methodologies (JSA, HIRA, FMEA, HAZOP, etc.).
- Knowledge of industrial safety systems, equipment safety, and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis (RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.
- Understanding of environmental regulations, waste management, and pollution prevention.
- Ability to monitor environmental risks and ensure compliance with permits and environmental standards.
