Excelity is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for remote and on-site deployments of a next generation Mission Integration System that supports an exciting Government customer with a very critical mission. The candidate will work alongside DevOps teams and government teams to ensure successful deployment and sustainment of high profile, integrated edge sites that are core to the continued success of our award-winning projects. The selected candidate will work with a government-provided CI/CD build environment and deploy using pipelines designed for container orchestration solutions using the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). The candidate will integrate a variety of software components in a secure container architecture working with cross functional teams to debug critical issues. Hardware and networking experience is a plus.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
  • Junior to Senior positions depending on education and years of experience. Minimum require a Bachelor’s degree and 0-5 years of relevant experience. Desire Bachelor’s degree and 5 OR a Master’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE, CISSP, etc.)
  • 2 or more relevant technical certifications (Linux, AWS/Azure, etc.)
  • Experience with Linux Environments
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash and Python
  • Experience with OCP, Docker Swarm or similar container orchestration tools
  • Experience deploying containerized architectures
  • Experience deploying to production environment sin the Department of Defense
  • Understanding and willingness to work in a DevSecOps oriented environment with an Infrastructure as Code mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of hardware, networking, or other backend components that support private and distributed cloud environments
  • Experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting system solutions
  • Experience integrating GitLab for automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with scalable deployments using "as Code” principles such as Infrastructure as Code to support multiple simultaneous deployments
