About The Position

Eaton’s Fuel & Motion Controls division is currently seeking a Site Quality Manager. This position is an onsite role, and is located at our Euclid, OH facility. Candidates must be local and commutable to the Euclid, OH facility as relocation assistance is not available. Minimal travel is expected (~10%). The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Euclid facility has approximately 325 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of aerospace main engine fuel pumps and components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. The primary responsibilities for this position will be to develop and deploy the Aerospace Quality strategy for both production and new product development in a manner that complies with customer and industry standards. The Quality Manager will implement global Aerospace and Industrial Sector Quality programs, goals and objectives, achieve superior customer Quality ratings through regular reviews of the Quality Management System, leading indicators, and lagging indicators with special focus on the transition between new product development and production. Responsibilities also include providing support to customers, suppliers, and partners, maintaining certifications to required Aerospace industry and customer standards, and improving organizational capability of the quality function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience managing people
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8U.S.C. § 1158.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Euclid, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Ability to lead change management efforts across functions
  • Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization, including presenting to shop floor and executive personnel
  • Ability to read and understand complex technical and contractual documents
  • Proficient in GD&T and complex blueprint reading
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in the area of Quality, continuous improvement, etc.
  • In-depth experience with Quality tools such as 8D (CAPA), Root Cause Analysis, Lean Principles such as Value Stream Mapping and Standard Work

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in Business Administration or a related Master’s degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Systems, preferably AS9100
  • Experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or Medical Device Manufacturing
  • Machining experience
  • EQS Assessor, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification
  • CQM/OE, ISO-9001 Auditor, and Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Three (3) years of experience in a role with direct customer interface

Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of the Quality strategy for both production and new programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Eaton, customer, and industry-specific Quality requirements by conducting necessary audits and assessments to determine system effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement a Quality organizational structure capable of supporting strategic initiatives, and lead efforts to integrate quality into short and long range business plans.
  • Develop strategies to integrate Quality concepts into the new product development process.
  • Analyze key quality-related operational metrics and perform periodic reviews to evaluate results, establishing action plans to close gaps at the operational level for ongoing production and new product development.
  • Continually improve the capability of the Quality organization through ongoing development activities and identification of talent to promote functional bench strength.
  • Ensure deployment of Eaton’s quality functional excellence tool set and provide input to development plans for functional reports.
  • Strive to achieve world class CONC and DPPM.
