Reporting to the Office Manager, the role of the Medical Records Assistant serves as part of the administrative team within a multisite practice. The Medical Records Assistant will serve as the primary point of contact in gathering all past medical history within the Electronic Medical Records system (EMR). The Medical Records Assistant will see to the creation of each patient’s record within the EMR as well as the attachment of all relatives past medical history data within the system, eventually becoming the subject matter expert on the process for the practice, ensuring all patient records are tracked, updated, and up-to-date. This role plays a key role in the Revenue Cycle Management function of the practice.
