About The Position

We are seeking a high-energy Site Manager to lead our Unitized Assets Category (UAC) operations. This site is a high-volume consolidation hub focused on transportation logistics and asset management. You will be responsible for the full scope of a 2-shift operation, managing a team of 60 hourly employees and a fleet of 6 DOT drivers. This position is a hands-on, on-site leadership role requiring a seasoned operations professional with the experience and drive to own the full performance of a UAC consolidation and transportation logistics facility. The Site Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for safety, service, financial performance, and team development across both shifts. This role demands a proven leader who can manage the complexity of a large, diverse workforce while ensuring DOT compliance, on-time logistics execution, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in Operations Management, preferably in a logistics, transportation, or consolidation environment; multi-shift management experience strongly preferred.
  • DOT Knowledge: Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing DOT-regulated drivers, including Hours of Service, driver qualification files, and vehicle compliance.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) a plus.
  • Certifications & Licenses: Valid Driver's License required.
  • Other Requirements: Progressive experience in plant or site operations, P&L or Cost Center management, customer service, safety program oversight, and labor management. Must be able to lift 50–100 lbs. Availability to support a two-shift operation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all daily operations across two shifts at a UAC consolidation and transportation logistics facility, ensuring alignment with company goals for safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee consolidation efforts and transportation logistics operations, including direct supervision and accountability for 6 DOT drivers — ensuring Hours of Service compliance, vehicle inspections, and adherence to all applicable DOT regulations.
  • Train, coach, and develop a two-shift leadership team consisting of 6 supervisors and 6 team leads, fostering a high-performance culture with clear accountability.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that maximize throughput, improve logistics flow, and optimize consolidation processes.
  • Ensure all standards of production, quality, safety, and equipment maintenance are upheld through cost-effective practices that drive maximum productivity.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and implement solutions to operational challenges in any area of the facility — responding with urgency and sound judgment.
  • Partner with Regional Managers and/or the Division Operations Vice President to set standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring service expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Provide leadership and guidance that facilitates timely, proactive action plans across the organization.
  • Analyze financial, operational, and administrative performance indicators; communicate findings and resolutions in a prompt, professional manner.
  • Conduct regular audits of consolidation processes, inventory systems, and logistics operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure seamless movement of freight and consolidated shipments.
  • Prepare and present operational performance reports covering logistics efficiency, consolidation throughput, labor metrics, and safety KPIs.
  • Implement and maintain systems for inventory tracking, freight consolidation monitoring, and DOT compliance documentation.
  • Manage product handling procedures including returns and damaged goods in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility at all times in compliance with all OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
