Mass Audubon is looking for an energetic, customer-oriented individual with a love of nature to take the lead on the daily operations of location at Magazine Beach Park in Cambridge. Located along the Charles River in Cambridge, Magazine Beach Park is a greenspace where city residents seek connection to nature in their neighborhood. From April through November, Mass Audubon hosts drop-in nature programs at the historic Powder Magazine building, which also serves as a home base for school, family, and adult programming on and around the river. The Powder Magazine building will be staffed during open hours (two days per week in spring/fall, four days per week during the summer months) from mid-April through mid-November to provide visitor orientation, exploration of nature exhibits, wildlife demonstrations, opportunities to purchase snacks/drinks, and access to restrooms. Our Site Manager will be the lead staff person at the Powder Magazine building to greet visitors, share nature exhibits and resources, manage the daily opening/closing/maintenance of the building, oversee seasonal staff, build community relationships, and coordinate with Mass Audubon educators on daily programming.
