About The Position

Responsible for day-to-day manufacturing facility operations and ensuring facility meets needs of technical team, runs efficiently, and is compliant with local and corporate HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and Quality standards. Plan, lead, organize and control delivery (ready to serve) of site’s contribution to business objectives and overall performance (in terms of safety, reliability, productivity, service, cost, quality, material/eco-efficiency, and community stewardship) and provide insights regarding developments based on analysis. Contribute to formulation of business objectives from operations perspective and ensure site capabilities, constraints and HSE considerations are incorporated into integrated business planning. Ensure ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) strategy is cascaded to site organization effectively to ensure appropriate alignment of focus and relevant information and issues are fed back up. Establish, achieve, enforce, and continuously improve performance levels for site in terms of customer service, safety, cost, quality, resource productivity, capital, engagement and eco efficiency and enforce minimum personal performance level. Implement and operate standard ALPS CoE (Center of Excellence) processes for site consistent with agreed ISC functional excellence agenda. Implement and operate common HSE platform and identify and respond effectively to hazards in HSE and security. Establish culture of functional and operational excellence, continuous improvement and accountability, professionalism and commitment to company values and behaviors. Responsible for communication and alignment with local union officials. Ensure In Control internal process and regulatory and legal compliance. Serve as primary point of contact for communications outside of site. Be familiar with all applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures regarding personal conduct/HSE standards and act in compliance with all regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental, Health & Safety or related field of study and 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience within the paints and coatings industry
  • 5 years of experience managing teams in paint and coatings
  • project management
  • SAP
  • managing CapEx projects
  • cross functional communication and collaboration with local and regional teams, including ISC/commercial teams, legal and compliance, internal and external customers and with all levels of an organization
