About The Position

The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all custodial and floor care operations within an aviation environment. This role leads a team of 29+ employees, including custodians and floor technicians, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency across the facility. The Site Manager must be flexible and available to support all three shifts as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in custodial or facility management, preferably in an aviation or large commercial setting
  • Proven experience managing teams of 20+ employees
  • Strong hands-on experience with floor care (stripping, waxing, burnishing, carpet extraction, etc.)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and support all three shifts as needed
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of safety standards, OSHA regulations, and cleaning best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and reporting tools
  • Ability to successfully pass a TSA background check for airport badging
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions typical of an airport setting

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of 29+ custodians and floor technicians
  • Oversee daily cleaning operations in a fast-paced aviation environment
  • Ensure all services meet company standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and coordinate floor care programs (e.g., stripping, waxing, buffing, carpet care)
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality assurance checks
  • Develop staff schedules and adjust staffing levels based on operational needs
  • Provide hands-on support and leadership across all shifts when necessary (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift)
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance and retention
  • Enforce safety policies, procedures, and proper use of PPE
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and chemicals
  • Communicate effectively with clients, leadership, and internal teams
  • Address employee relations matters and support a positive team environment
  • Other duties as assigned or requested
