About The Position

The Site Lead is a fully on-site leadership role based in a warehouse—remote work is not available. The Dallas Distribution Hub Site Lead will oversee the entire warehouse operations, including daily operations, managing staff, control inventory, and ensure compliance and safety protocols are followed within ICU Medical’s largest distribution hub. Responsibilities include ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and delivery of ICU Medical’s finished goods to domestic and international customers, as well as other warehouses in our global distribution network. This involves coordinating staff and equipment, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance within a heavily regulated industry. The role demands strategic vision, a strong desire to optimize and improve performance, and a willingness to perform hands-on execution. This role reports to the Director, Warehousing and Transportation and will oversee a team of 100-150 individuals. A key focus is leading and developing a high-performing team while championing change management initiatives, integrating new business, and implementing process improvements to support long-term growth. The Site Lead is also responsible for managing the operating budget, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders—ensuring operational excellence and continuous audit readiness. Success in this role requires integrating strategic leadership with disciplined operational execution to consistently deliver safe, compliant, and high-performing distribution operations.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Relevant warehouse management systems experience (i.e., Oracle EBS).
  • Strong strategic thinking and critical thinking skills, with the ability to balance service, cost, and compliance in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold management teams accountable for performance and results.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
  • Change leadership capability, including driving adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills in high-pressure, time-sensitive operational and regulatory situations.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant warehouse experience (including 7+ years of previous supervisory experience), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have experience with ERP system, Oracle preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional integration of new business and strategic initiatives, balancing service, cost, and compliance trade-offs.
  • Set strategic vision for distribution operations, identifying and driving process improvement, risk mitigation, and alignment with evolving healthcare logistics needs.
  • Align site priorities and resources to support enterprise initiatives and evolving business requirements.
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure productivity and a positive work environment.
  • Build a high-performance culture through effective hiring, workforce planning, coaching, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure leadership practices align workforce performance with operational targets, safety standards, and organizational priorities.
  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods.
  • Oversee inventory level, conduct stock counts, and ensure accuracy to prevent inventory loss and discrepancies.
  • Monitor performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and communicate monthly KPI results to site leadership and teams to reinforce targets, drive operational improvement, and align execution with strategic company priorities in key operational areas (delivery, inventory, compliance, and safety). Lead logistics tech implementations and change management.
  • Address operational issues, troubleshoot problems, and oversee customer service requests or complaints ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact to service, safety, and compliance.
  • Manage budgets, payroll, and capital planning with a focus on financial discipline and service excellence.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance (FDA, DSCSA, GMP/GDP, DEA, State Boards), maintaining audit readiness and managing escalations (recalls, returns, complaints).
  • Implement and enforce safety and security procedures, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with regulations like OSHA standards, setting clear expectations and driving consistent execution across the site.
