About The Position

The Site Electrical Energy & Utilities Engineerwill play a key role in optimizing electrical systems, improving energy performance, and supporting the reliable operation of site utilities at a complex industrial facility. This role will help drive continuous improvement initiatives, lead energy-efficiency projects, and provide technical support to improve facility performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7+ years of relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, including some combination of:
  • Electrical distribution systems (medium voltage / low voltage), power monitoring, and metering systems
  • Industrial utility systems such as HVAC, chillers, boilers/steam, and compressed air
  • Energy performance analysis, measurement and verification, and utility data analysis
  • Managing small energy or infrastructure projects through implementation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into practical engineering actions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse site stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience with industrial or manufacturing energy systems.
  • Experience with electrical infrastructure in operating industrial facilities.
  • Experience with ISO 50001 or other structured energy management programs.
  • Experience working with utility incentive and rebate programs.
  • Strong technical writing, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct system assessments and identify engineering and operational improvement opportunities across electrical and utility systems.
  • Develop energy baselines, trend system performance, and quantify savings using utility data, metering, submetering, and site monitoring systems.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), project progress, and measured impacts to site stakeholders.
  • Lead small to mid-sized energy and utility optimization projects from concept through implementation.
  • Support project scoping, technical review, vendor coordination, commissioning, startup, and performance verification.
  • Provide engineering support for electrical and utility-related upgrades intended to improve site energy performance, system efficiency, and operational reliability.
  • Support a structured, ISO 50001-style approach to energy management, including planning, tracking, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and help pursue utility rebates and incentive opportunities to support project implementation.
  • Partner closely with facility operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS/sustainability teams, as well as external vendors and contractors.
  • Coordinate with Climeaction’s technical experts to deliver program goals and maintain alignment with the client’s operational and energy priorities.
