About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor to provide dedicated on‑site leadership for major Base Capital Energy Supply projects across the PSCo region. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of capital projects—including large‑scale overhaul events up to $100M—at coal, gas, and renewable power generation facilities. You will be the primary on‑site representative during construction, coordinating with contractors, vendors, engineering, and project management to keep work progressing safely. You will also contribute construction‑driven insights during pre‑construction planning to support scope definition, constructability, site logistics, scheduling, and estimating.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction, maintenance, operations, engineering, or power generation/utility environments.
  • Associate degree or technical degree.
  • Experience with field construction and maintenance techniques, materials, terminology, and inspection practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise with utility/power‑generation standards, procedures, and environmental/safety regulations.
  • Proficient in planning, determining crew sizes, estimating durations, and supporting schedule development.
  • Familiarity with work packages, construction task planning, and work/asset management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily field operations, set priorities, and lead safety, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Oversee contractors and vendors, coordinating access, logistics, sequencing, and resolving field issues.
  • Conduct safety briefings, enforce LOTO/PPE standards, identify hazards, and respond to incidents.
  • Perform field quality inspections, ensure compliance with specifications, and manage NCR documentation.
  • Provide clear daily and weekly reporting to project teams.
  • Participate in project scope definition, constructability reviews (30/60/90/IFC), and schedule development.
  • Support estimates, bid reviews, vendor selection, and site logistics planning (laydown, access, equipment routes, utilities).
  • Assess daily resource needs and coordinate workforce, equipment, and material staging.
  • Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation or contingency plans.
  • Coordinate inspections, witness/hold points, and pre‑commissioning testing with QC teams.
  • Lead daily huddles with contractors and project staff; monitor field progress against drawings and schedule.
  • Manage material deliveries, on‑site inventory, equipment usage, and general site housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, weekly progress updates, and required safety/quality documentation.
