About The Position

Job Overview:
The Site Construction Equipment Operator position is responsible for the following:
Operating heavy equipment to lift, move, or place equipment or materials
Driving equipment and vehicles (including tri-axle dump trucks) between sites
Performing basic duties associated with operating heavy equipment and vehicles

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Relevant experience preferred with operating heavy equipment
• Familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing
• Communication
• Technical and mechanical skills
• Capable of working independently

Responsibilities

• Operate various construction machines and vehicles: Bulldozers, Crawlers, Skid Loaders, Excavators, Backhoes, Tri-Axle Dump Trucks, Work Vans, etc. in a safe and appropriate manner
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
• Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment
• Perform general construction and maintenance duties including, but not limited to, framing, finishing, underground utilities, final gradings, storm water management, sewer systems, pipe and shovel work, snow removal, etc
