About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in their Pensacola, FL office. This role involves assisting on all phases of civil/site development, including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design. The intern may also assist with code research, writing specifications, and obtaining permitting. This is a part-time internship opportunity for a local student while they are in school. Dewberry is a leading professional services firm with over 2,500 professionals nationwide, committed to delivering high-quality services and fostering collaboration on innovative projects. The summer intern program provides hands-on project experience, technical skill development, and the chance to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects, similar to those a full-time employee would undertake. Interns will also participate in various workshops and events, including networking opportunities, learning sessions about the firm's services and clients, professional development workshops (such as career planning and a DiSC assessment), and a summer-long group project with firm leaders.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Interest in using CADD (Microstation or AutoCAD)
  • A desire to work in a team environment

Responsibilities
