About The Position

Engineering Intern – Civil Engineering The City of North Salt Lake has an intern position available beginning immediately in the Engineering Department. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on engineering experience and exposure to municipal engineering, with an emphasis in construction management, as well as land development and geotechnical engineering review. This is a non-benefit position, with a salary of $18.00/hr. General Duties: Work with the City Engineer and Engineering Staff, developers and contractors to ensure that construction projects are installed properly and comply with city standards. The intern will be responsible for conducting field inspections of various construction projects throughout the city. Work with Engineering Staff to assist with preparation of various studies, drafting of plans and drawings, and city sponsored projects. No specific experience in any of these areas is required but would be considered beneficial. The intern will be trained and directed under the supervision of the City Engineer.

Requirements

• Undergraduate Civil Engineering student with anticipated graduation date between May 2027 and December 2029
• Must have valid Utah driver license
