Position Summary  We are seeking a motivated entry-level Site Civil Designer to join our growing team in Yonkers, NY. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to grow their skills in civil engineering with a focus on site plan development and design. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in civil site design within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (recent graduates welcome)
  • 0–3 years of professional experience in civil engineering or internships in a related field
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software preferred
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to stormwater management, grading, or utility design (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of local permitting processes (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing design drawings using AutoCAD with input from engineers and landscape architects.
  • Participate in field visits to gather visual and photographic site information.
  • Support construction inspection activities with guidance from supervisors.
  • Learn and apply Stormwater Management Requirements and local zoning Regulations.
  • Contribute to stormwater management design tasks for development projects.
  • Research local, county, and state regulations to inform design decisions.
  • Help prepare design plans and jurisdictional applications under supervision.
  • Assist in reviewing construction documents including shop drawings and RFIs.
  • Collaborate on writing technical reports with support from senior staff.
  • Attend project meetings and assist with project documentation and coordination.
