About The Position

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join our Gainesville, VA office to work on all phases of civil/municipal engineering including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, water and sanitary sewer design, and erosion and sediment control design. Individual may also conduct permitting and code research, write specifications, and preprare and submit permit applications. Individual may analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models and computations for storm water and watershed master planning. Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency using CADD
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship experience in Site/Civil preferred
  • Knowledge of floodplain delineation, storm water management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and drainage design.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is preferred but not required.
