Job Summary: The Solar Site Assessor will conduct on-site studies for residential projects. Your evaluation will consist of taking measurements, completing shade reporting, and the overall qualification for solar panel installation.

Requirements

  • Part 107 FAA certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in construction, solar or PV strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 10 required.
  • Valid Apprentice Electrician license required.
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to travel/commute to various job sites at least 40%, including some weekends, are requested.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of residential electrical projects.
  • Must be able to navigate residential roofing systems including multi-story structures.
  • Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs and climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift.
  • Ability to work in 100+ degree weather.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Must be highly organized and process-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Documenting electrical set-up and capabilities and any existing structure or facility variances.
  • Survey residential home projects with a drone, taking photos at various heights and angles.
  • Attending project, weekly operational, and safety meetings.
  • Effective, accurate & timely communications with Service and Install Dept.
  • Daily reporting, Computer Skills, Emails, Uploads, and SWF reporting.
  • Assist other departments as directed.
