About The Position

Therapists provide professional mental health services to individuals, families, and couples. They assess, diagnose, and treat clients using evidence-based techniques such as counseling, psychotherapy, and behavior modification. The goal is to help clients improve coping skills, relationships, and overall well-being.

Requirements

  • Expertise in diagnosing and treating mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of caseload management, therapeutic techniques, and legal/ethical guidelines.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to follow direction and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
  • Licensed as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the practicing state.
  • Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states.
  • Comfortable providing telehealth services.
  • Successful background check and fingerprinting.
  • Completion of new hire orientation and ongoing training (Relias).
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications within 3 months of hire.
  • Behavioral management training within 30 days.
  • Understanding of Collaborative Service Goals (CSGs).
  • Sedentary work: sitting most of the time, occasional walking/standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Repetitive hand, arm, and finger movements for typing and writing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
  • Complete assessments, intake screenings, and diagnose clients.
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans tailored to client needs.
  • Document services and ensure compliance with state and agency standards.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and provide consultation as needed.
  • Handle crisis situations and coordinate emergency services.
  • Facilitate specialty services such as trauma or co-occurring therapy.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to trainees if required.
  • Represent the agency professionally in the community.
