Austin Industrial is seeking an experienced SIPA Multicraft to support maintenance and project activities at our client site in Lovington, NM. This role involves the construction, assembly, maintenance, modification, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures used to support refinery maintenance and operational needs.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Journeyman Scaffold Builder.
  • Strong working knowledge of tubular scaffolding systems used in refinery and heavy‑industrial environments.
  • Ability to interpret scaffold drawings and follow engineered scaffold plans.
  • Strong understanding of industrial and refinery safety practices, including fall protection and load limits.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience –2-3 years’ experience in a Scaffolding preferred.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check as a condition of employment.
  • Meet physical demands as listed above

Responsibilities

  • Construct, assemble, maintain, modify, and dismantle tubular scaffolding and related temporary structures.
  • Interpret scaffold design plans, load requirements, and site conditions to ensure safe and compliant installation.
  • Inspect all scaffold components for damage, defects, or improper fit prior to use.
  • Ensure all scaffolds meet OSHA, site‑specific, and Austin Industrial safety requirements.
  • Install ladders, guardrails, platforms, toe boards, ties, bracing, and decking.
  • Assist with material handling, staging, and transport of scaffold components.
  • Communicate with supervisors, craft workers, and site personnel to ensure scaffolding needs are met efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
