About The Position

Staffmark is hiring a Sinker EDM Operator in Temecula, CA. You'll set up, operate, and maintain sinker EDM machines to produce precision parts for defense, aerospace, and medical applications, following ITAR and ISO 9001 quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a sinker EDM operator in a production environment
• Completion of a machining trade school program may substitute for experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Mitsubishi SG12 sinker EDMs is a plus
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sinker EDM machines, including electrode selection, offsets, and spark gap control
• Interpret technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and notes
• Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
• Perform in-process inspections to maintain accuracy and quality standards
• Conduct basic machine maintenance (maintain EDM fluid, replace electrodes, clean residues, etc.)
