About The Position

Delaware Resource group is searching for dedicated Flight Simulator Field Service Representatives to provide on-site support for flight simulator installation and modification to include disassembly, relocation, reassembly, and maintenance on various platforms located globally. This is a project-based position where flexibility and technical expertise are crucial. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, able to handle complex technical challenges and ensure our simulators are operating at their best even after disassembly and relocation.

Requirements

3-5 years working as a simulator technician
Knowledge of windows and Linux, can use simple editors, and can navigate directory structures and files etc.
Security Plus certificate will be REQUIRED
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex words and technical documents/diagrams.
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.
Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
Must be able to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds.
Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladders.
Must be able to accommodate confined spaces.
Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top or under equipment.
Must be able to detect odors, noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect discrepancies of malfunctioning equipment.
Must be able to distinguish colors.
Must be able to perform Domestic and International travel as required.
Eligible and obtain (if required) a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, perform software updates, assist with upgrades, and assist with teardown/build up and deployment activities for Virtual Prototype (VP)/Flight Training Device (FTD) systems
Provide on-site technical support, operational training of the system and assist in developing schedules and plans.
Shall perform general administrative duties on-site to include record keeping, site security, vendor coordination, maintain spares, tools and technical manuals, act as a Bell liaison with the US Government, and conduct simulator system training to Army personnel.
Responsible for reading a Bill of Materials (BOM), creating a packing and install checklist, or providing input to those checklists.
Perform power on and off, start up and shutdown, operational checks, session management, user support, networking, and device/system teardown and deployment activities.
Maintain the VP/FTD, CLS personnel shall perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inspections, hardware maintenance, software maintenance, simulator housekeeping, calibration of control loading systems, and calibration of visual system.
Perform VP/FTD software updates and maintain all operational and maintenance documentation including user manuals, maintenance logs, and update records.
Responsible for reading electrical and mechanical schematics and using those schematics to troubleshoot potential issues.
Assist OEM Engineer upgrade activities and provide training to users and maintenance staff on new features and systems introduced via upgrades.
